ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, will visit Türkiye to participate in the 51st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on June 21-22, 2025.
During the plenary session, the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister will present Pakistan’s perspective on developments in South Asia, particularly following the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India. He will also address the situation in the Middle East, particularly the recent Israeli aggression against Iran and other regional states.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to the Palestinian cause, the Deputy Prime Minister will emphasize the urgent need for peace in the Middle East and the necessity of providing humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister will urge the international community to take decisive action to address rising Islamophobia, as well as other global challenges such as extremism, terrorism, and climate change.
Senator Dar will also reiterate Pakistan’s commitment to the objectives and principles of the OIC and its ongoing efforts to address issues affecting the Muslim Ummah.
On the sidelines of the event, the Deputy Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from other OIC member states.
Before the CFM, the Deputy Prime Minister will participate in the award ceremony for the “OIC Youth Forum Grand Youth Award,” which will be presented to the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
