LAHORE: The grand finale of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 is set to be a thrilling encounter between two-time champions Lahore Qalandars and 2019 titleholders Quetta Gladiators. The match is scheduled for 7:30 pm today, with a reserve day on May 26 due to possible rain.
In a moment of national pride, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will pay a special tribute to the Pakistan Navy during the innings break, following similar tributes to the Pakistan Army and Air Force during the tournament.
The winner of tonight’s final will take home the PSL X trophy and a prize of $500,000, while the runners-up will receive $200,000. This match provides Lahore Qalandars the chance to clinch their third PSL title, while Quetta Gladiators aim for their first since 2019.
Qalandars, led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, had a challenging start but surged in the Eliminators to reach their third final in four years. Quetta Gladiators, under Saud Shakeel, dominated the league stage, topping the points table and defeating Islamabad United in the Qualifier.
Both teams have displayed impressive performances, with Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique leading the Qalandars’ batting, while Quetta’s Hasan Nawaz and Rilee Rossouw have been pivotal for their side. The final promises a competitive clash, with both sides looking to capitalize on their strengths and home advantage.
